Cinepolis runs the extra mile with WTP to bring the best cinema in the pink city Jaipur

Cinépolis co-sponsored the Jaipur marathon event with its developer partner Sincere Infrastructure to promote the upcoming mega retail cum entertainment project World Trade Park (WTP), which is located in Jaipur’s posh locality Malviya Nagar. The event was attended by more than 15,000 participants, along with the star celebrities Salman Khan and Rajeev Khandelwal.

"We are very excited about bringing our world standard cinema experience to Jaipur's landmark WTP project, which will be without doubt the best retail and entertainment destination of the city", said Milan Saini, Managing Director and Country Head, Cinepolis India. "As part of our corporate philosophy of being actively engaged with our communities, we are excited to partner with WTP & Sanskriti in supporting the Jaipur Marathon," further added Mr. Saini.

After the first successful launch of Cinépolis in Amritsar in December 2009, WTP Jaipur would be the Company's second project in India. The cinema is expected to open in Q3 of CY 2010.

The event was widely covered by the local TV Channels, newspapers, and radio stations.

Bimal Sharma joins Cinépolis India as the Head of Business Development

Gurgaon, Haryana: Cinépolis, India's first international film exhibitor, announced the hiring of Bimal Sharma as the Head of Business Development. Bimal joins Cinepolis from his position as Vice President - Retail for Jones Lang LaSalle Meghraj (JLLM).

With over 9 years of experience in Retail and Real Estate division of JLLM, Bimal's primary responsibility included shopping center advisory and retail transactions. Deepak Marda, Joint Managing Director, Cinepolis India said, "Bimal brings on board an extensive experience of representing both retailers and developers. His in-depth understanding of shopping centers in India will help us build long-lasting relationships with developers, both financially and operationally."

Cinepolis Amritsar greets its 1,00,000th customer

In just one and a half month of operations, Cinepolis served its 1,00,000th patron. "Cinepolis' mission is to bring happiness to its patrons" said Mr. Milan Saini, Country Head & MD. Cinepolis Amritsar is fully digital, with full stadium seating, luxurious legroom, spacious lobby and gourmet cuisine. Cinepolis patron Harpreet Kaur said "We love coming to Cinepolis and we enjoy eating the baguis and popcorns".
